SEM Zone S.R.L., operating as SEM Lion, uses artificial intelligence to support its work. This policy explains how AI is used across our website, internal operations, client services and product development, and where its limits matter.
How we use AI
We work with multiple AI systems and providers. Depending on the project, they may assist research, marketing analysis, campaign planning, text and visual production, translation, software development, testing, automation and reporting. We use these capabilities for clients and to develop our own products. Our aim is to improve the work and support better business outcomes; using AI does not guarantee those outcomes.
The tools, integrations, data access and permitted actions vary by project. A client engagement should define its scope, approvals, confidentiality requirements and any permitted automation. This general policy does not authorise access to a client's accounts or changes to advertising budgets.
Lion AI Assist on this website
Lion AI Assist is an AI service, not a human adviser. It suggests relevant SEM Lion services from the business description you enter. Using it is optional: you can select services manually or contact our team.
When you select the dedicated checkbox and request suggestions, your description is sent through our server to OpenAI's API. The request does not automatically include the name, email address or phone number entered elsewhere in the form. However, anything you put in the description is included. Please leave out personal, sensitive or confidential information.
Suggestions are generated automatically and are not individually checked by our team before you see them. Review and edit the selection before submitting your enquiry. A suggestion is not a quotation, contract, eligibility decision or promise of results. This feature does not launch campaigns, spend money or make legally significant decisions about you.
Errors and third-party limitations
AI can produce convincing but inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or biased information. It can misunderstand instructions, invent details and generate material similar to someone else's work. Recommendations based on incomplete campaign data may be misleading.
We cannot eliminate all AI errors or fully control third-party models, their training data, updates, availability or behaviour. Checks and human judgement can reduce risk but cannot make every output reliable. Verify material facts, calculations, claims, permissions and suitability before relying on an output or publishing it. AI output is not a substitute for qualified legal, medical, financial or other specialist advice.
Human judgement and client work
AI supports our expertise; it does not remove professional judgement or responsibility. The level of review and approval needs to reflect the use and its consequences. Client-specific review, publication and automation arrangements belong in the project agreement. Do not assume that every AI output has already been reviewed by a person.
Please raise any restrictions on AI use, confidential material, regulated activities or automated actions before sharing project information. We can discuss an appropriate workflow and whether a human-led alternative is available.
Personal information and confidentiality
Do not submit passwords, access keys, customer lists, health information, payment details, private documents or other people's personal data to the public AI description field. If a project needs protected data, agree the purpose, authorised recipients and safeguards with us first.
Provider processing, retention and international transfers depend on the service and configuration. Our Lion AI request sets response storage to off; this is not a promise of zero provider retention. See OpenAI's API data controls. The Privacy Policy explains website data handling and how to exercise applicable rights. Accepting cookies does not authorise AI processing: Lion AI has a separate, optional action. This policy is information, not blanket consent to use personal data.
Transparency and creative content
AI-assisted text, images, video, audio, code or prototypes may form part of our work. Synthetic examples should not be mistaken for evidence of real clients, results or events. Appropriate disclosures and rights checks depend on the material and its use. This page does not replace a notice or label required at the point where people interact with AI or encounter synthetic content.
Romania and the European Union
The EU AI Act applies according to the system and our role. Article 50 transparency duties apply from 2 August 2026: these include notices for direct AI interaction and specific synthetic-content disclosures. Not every AI-assisted edit requires the same label. See the European Commission's Article 50 guidance.
GDPR continues to apply to personal-data processing within its scope, including AI use in Romania. A lawful basis, transparency, appropriate safeguards and individual rights remain relevant. See Romania's data-protection authority: GDPR resources. This policy is not a compliance certification.
Qatar
For work falling within its scope, Qatar's Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection is relevant to personal-data handling. MCIT also publishes ethical AI principles and guidelines. These guidelines should be distinguished from binding legislation. Sector-specific or other applicable rules may also matter; Qatar's framework does not represent the whole Middle East or remove applicable EU obligations.
Your rights, questions and corrections
Nothing in this policy excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits statutory rights, or overrides our contractual or data-protection duties. External provider limitations do not automatically release SEM Zone S.R.L. from its responsibilities.
For an incorrect or harmful output, concerns about AI use, or a request for human assistance, contact office@semlion.com. Describe the issue without sending sensitive material unnecessarily. We may update this policy when our services or applicable rules change; the review date appears above.
